Book review: To Be In The Military, Or Not To Be

To Be In The Military, Or Not To Be was written by Charleen Fischer, she dedicated this book to all in the military, there was no publishing information. She also serves in the USAF. Ms. Fischer writes of the joys and sorrows of being in the military. Some of the joys are supporting and protecting the US, money and education. Some sorrows are missing said promises, deployment and maybe loss of life. She speaks of her own experiences and the fact that she enjoys being in the military but she did not think that she would be going over seas and how are that was, knowing that she would have to stop school and take a leave from work. She makes a point of point of saying that see does indeed love the military but because of the unknown of the future and the shadow of being deployed she does not know if she will reenlist.
I think that the opportunity to serve your country by being in the military is awesome but it has its ups and down. I think that Ms. Fischer want to convey that t regardless of what thou are told by the recruiter that you have to expect the unexpected , especially during times of war.
When reading this book it hit home for me. My little sister is also in the military. She’s been to Kuwait and is know stationed Spain and will be there for three more years. It takes a lot to be in the military, but I think that as a women it takes a little more. Mas props!
