Review of Samantha's Book

Book review:
Author: Samantha Woody
Title of Book: Stressed Out
Type of Book: nonfiction
Book’s Theme: Stress and pressure on today’s students and how students can cope. As well as how parents and teachers can help.
Background of Author: Samantha Woody is a student at Southern Connecticut University where she is majoring in math. Her home is currently in East Haven. One day she hopes to move to California. In her free time she enjoys movies and doing crafts.
This book was an excellent piece of writing. I brought light to the issue of stress and pressure in high school students. I came from a house where studies and extra activities were important. I was involved in choir, musicals, as well as two sports. My sports practices were at least four times a week as well as games. By the time I would get home my homework had to be finished. Stress and pressure were a huge part of my life. The book also looks at the stress put on students in the perspective of teachers and parents. This book had quotes from students at different times in their education as well as a parent.
