United but Equal

I read United but Equal by Gerrard Evans. This book was about education and race, or the differences in educaton between blacks and whites. In this book Gerrard talked about the Brown vs. The Board of Education case. Altough the Jim Crow laws which segregated schools were abolished, there is still some differences in the educational system. Blacks and Whites have the same opportunities but many blacks choose not to take advantage of them. It is up to the student to take their education seriously. This is a good book. Especially for those who are unfamiliar with this issue.
